Midan Ltd

Midan Ltd was established in 2012 by Matt Daniels, Managing Director, who has worked within the public and Voluntary, Charity and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sectors for almost thirty years, the past twenty of which have been in organisational and strategic leadership positions.

Midan Ltd provides specialist training and consultancy support to companies across the voluntary, public and private sectors in the areas of income generation and diversification, bid writing, strategic planning, LGBTQ+ inclusion and awareness, and more broadly to support organisations and services to reflect and refocus, to sustain, strengthen and grow at all levels of the organisation.

Matt Daniels, Managing Director

Matt Daniels is the Managing Director Midan Ltd and he has held leadership positions across the charity sector for over twenty five years, working predominantly with marginalised communities and groups around cohesion, inclusion and community development. He is a former Chair of the Board for Birmingham LGBT (2010 – 15) and subsequently has been a principal trainer for the charity delivering a national LGBTQ+ Leadership Programme 2016 – 19 and principal trainer delivering an LGBTQ+ Mental Health Awareness Programme 2021-22.

He is an advocate and leader across the LGBTQ+ sector nationally and co-founded the Midland Alliance Network, an LGBTQ+ professional network, in 2016.

He has been an Inclusion Advisory Board Member for Warwickshire County Cricket Club (https://edgbaston.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/Inclusion-Advisory-Board-2024.pdf) since August 2022, supporting the club to become more LGBTQ+ inclusive. He has facilitated and delivered on a number of contracts for various clients over the past ten years engaging LGBTQ+ individuals and community groups as well as service providers and commissioners to better support and enable the LGBTQ+ community, and for the past three years he has facilitated a national Inclusion In Cricket Conference.

He is also the Chair of the Board of Management for Communities In Sync (https://communitiesinsync.info/), an infrastructure organisation working with and enabling local charities to work in communities and make a positive difference across Sandwell, the Black Country and Birmingham.

Matt is a qualified and ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) approved trainer and has created these packages utilising his sector knowledge and experience as well as his own life experience. The packages have been designed to support organisations to better understand the LGBTQ+ community, to better support their LGBTQ+ workforces, service users and clients, and to create more inclusive and informed workplaces.
